Exploring the gift of silence

A week of reconnecting with yourself & each other in the South of France 27 April 2019 - 4th May

It is scientifically proven that pressing the 'reset' button both physically and mentally is incredible healthy for all of us. Yet, in your daily routines it's not always easy to prioritise this kind of self-care. When living in or near a city, the buzz, noise and constant input can easily get the better of you which can result in agitation, fatigue and poor concentration as well as difficulty to truly find relaxation within yourself. When this occurs on a consistent basis you can be overwhelmed by a feeling of tiredness, numbed feelings, chronic stress or illness. If this is the case for you then this week has your name on it!  But also for anyone wanting to give themselves a little treat and  time to 'switch off',  this week will bring you exactly that. You will experience first hand the amazing benefits pausing and recharging yourself will have on you.  And the plus side? You will learn tools and get inspired to bring these newly acquired habits back home with you in your daily life, so that the effect will be long lasting.  Find your natural self again and return home refreshed, with a sense of clarity, calm and practices for self care. This is a week of un-doing and un-becoming. Daily Nature has carefully designed this unique silent retreat in the South of France in collaboration with Dharma Nature (http://www.dharmanature.org/)

During this 7 day retreat under the guidance of meditation and mindfulness teacher Denis Robberechts (founder of Dharma Nature)  & Nature Coach / Yoga teacher Iva Joy Gration (founder of Daily Nature) we will explore the following subjects in an intimate setting together:

  • What is silence?
  • What effects are silence and nature having on you?
  • Conversation, practice and questions about meditation together with teacher Denis
  • How to practice mindful eating / cooking
  • How to communicate on a profound level with each other with & without conversing
  • Tips & Guidance on how to incorporate self care habits in your daily life back home

To help you truly 'switch off' you will be asked to leave your electronic devices behind and switched off during the whole week. Camera equipment is allowed (not on mobile).

  • Silent guided meditation each morning
  • Preparing & enjoying wholesome, fresh lunch together (in silence)
  • Relaxation / Swim/ Gentle Yoga / Walk in the afternoon/ Nature coaching session
  • Cooking & enjoying evening meal together (free to converse)
  • Evening private meditation / journaling / drawing the day away

The retreat takes place in Vieussan (Boissezon) in the region of Languedoc - Roussillon in the South of France. This village is beautifully situated in a protected Natural Parc with uninterrupted scenery, views and nature.

In this magical hameau nestled between a river and the mountains we will share each others company in a 3 bedroom cozy cottage.

The river is within walking distance of the house as well as hiking paths and meditation locations. The morning meditation will be held in or around the cottage itself. Imagine yourself gazing at the star lit sky from the terrace and hearing the river flow from your bedroom window. The sound of rare breed birdsong and crickets.
